Designed to offer full face protection while allowing for the wearing of most face masks and other PPE.
The visor extends from above the top of the headband to below the chin.
It features a removable 1mm polycarbonate visor, headband, replaceable sweatpad and dual elastic strap for a comfortable fit. The gap between the headband (brow) and the top of the visor allows a flow of air to help minimise fogging.
The components of the iMask+ Face Shield are designed to be used as many times as deemed appropriate for the given usage. It is not designed as a single-use, disposable item.
The unit is easily assembled and disassembled for cleaning and sanitising.
Each part is available as replacements.
iMask+ Face Shields delivered to facilities should be considered as being non-sterile.
The iMask+ Face Shield product is suitable for multiple uses with appropriate cleaning between patients.
Face shields are generally not used alone, but in conjunction with other protective equipment and are therefore classified as adjunctive personal protective equipment. Guidelines for their use vary between governmental agencies and professional societies and little research is available regarding their efficacy.
Therefore, it is imperative that each hospital should determine appropriate use / reuse protocols based on a review of the product by the hospital's Infection Control group.
We recommend each person to have a personalised iMask+ Face Shield. Some may even wish to have extras so that previous ones have time to be sanitised ready for use the next day.
Suggested Cleaning of the Face Shield
To ensure the shield is cleaned properly, we recommend disassembling it first.
- Elastic Strap
Hot water and soap. Air Dry
- Microfibre Sweatpad
Hot water and soap. Air Dry or Tumble dry.
- Headband
Hot water and soap or Alcohol wipe. Air dry.
- Visor
Hot water and soap or Alcohol wipe. Air dry.
Do not use chemicals, harsh cleaners, Abrasives or Solvents which are not clear Polycarbonate safe. Use warm soapy water to clean your Visor and dry with a soft cloth or a microfibre cloth. Do not use Spectacle sprays unless clear plastics safe.
Assembly:
1) Attach the towelling Sweaty to the headband.
2) Fit one end of the visor over the button fasteners. Bend it to make it fit over the caps at the other end.
3) Fit the Strap at one end first and then fit the other end. Lock the strap ends between the headband and visor.

Once fully assembled, adjust the elastic straps to fit comfortably.
Our elastic straps are designed to accommodate different hair styles and head shapes, allowing maximum personal comfort for all sizes whilst maintaining a perfectly stable area of maximum vision. A properly adjusted unit—not too loose and not too tight— enhances the stability and the performance of your i-MASK+ Face Shield.
